Check the level of your oil as well as the date of your last oil change. If it's close to your next oil change, we suggest you get it changed before you go on your trip. If you just had an oil change, check the levels of your oil, as well as other fluids. This includes windshield wiper fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluids, and transmission fluid.
Next, you should check your tires. Make sure every tire is at the proper psi level for your Mercedes-Benz model. You should also check for tread wear by using a tire gauge or by doing the penny test. Another part you should check is the air filter and cabin filter. If these are dirty, it can lead to poor performance and having non-fresh air inside the cabin.
You should also make sure that all of your lights and signals are working properly. Have a friend help you by standing outside of the car, preferably at night, and have them tell you if any lights are out. Even if they are all working, make sure to bring extras with you on your trip. The final part to check is your battery. Go to a service center to get the levels checked on your battery. If they are low, be sure to get it changed before you leave on your trip.
